Earth Day Celebration at Wilmer Park

April 21, 2007

The winners of the competitions for the George Goes Green initiative for campus sustainability were announced at the Earth Day celebration in Wilmer Park, complete with food, activities, and live music.

Competition Results

East, Middle, and West Hall won the Do It in the Dark competition and will receive breakfast in bed on finals weekend.

Daly Hall won the Green Revolution for conserving energy in administrative buildings; its faculty and staff will receive a green gift basket during the last week of classes.

The George Gets Ingenious winner was Meg Chapman '07 who proposed a method for campus water conservation.
