Washington College Book Award
Spring 2008
The Washington College Book Award recognizes a high school junior who, in the judgment of his or her teachers, has produced outstanding written work in the field of history. Each award is underwritten by a Washington College alumnus. In the inaugural year of the program, awards were given to six high school students.

Mitali Thakore, of Saint Dominic Academy in Jersey City, NJ, with Taryn Venner Ashe '97. Taryn is a graduate and former student of St. Dominic Academy and was excited about the opportunity to present the 2008 Book Award to a high school student there.
