Pre-Orientation Movie at the Prince Theatre

The Multimedia Production Center led a pre-orientation trip that documented the journey of each first-year group. It premiered at the Prince Theatre to students, faculty, and members of the town.

PlayFair

Students get to know each other in this highly interactive and entertaining group activity.

Groups changed with each exercise so everyone had the opportunity to meet as many of their peers as possible.
To learn (and remember) each other, the group chants your name as you run around their circle.
One particularly lucky contestant had her name chanted by not only her core group, but also by the entire first-year class.
Upperclassmen, including former Peer Mentors, look on and reminisce about their first PlayFair experience.
As PlayFair continues, much of the first-day jitters wear off and students become more comfortable talking with their peers.

The Student Events Board hosted a dance/pizza party during first-year orientation.

The Lit House opened its doors and hearts to welcome the incoming class of 2012.
