Students Travel to Amsterdam for Model UN

Six seniors from Washington College participated in the World Model United Nations, held in this spring at the Hague, Netherlands. Five of the students represented Tanzania in three different committees (SPECPOL, WHO and DISEC) and one student represented Chinese propagandist Chen Boda in a simulation of the Chinese Politburo from 1969. Students spent the week debating, writing draft resolutions and making allies, enemies and regional blocs (but only in committee. Everyone was very friendly once session closed for the day).
