Writer and literary ecologist Lisa Couturier, author of The Hopes of Snakes, visits with students in Professor Meehan's English class, "American Environmental Writing." Couturier came to campus for a public reading and discussion on Tuesday held in the CAC Forum: "Urban Animals Unveiled," which included selections from her essays and her thoughts on observing wildlife in the urban landscapes of New York City and Washington D.C. On Wednesday she joined the class to discuss her experiences as a writer and to guide students as they begin their final projects in the course: writing their own version of an essay in literary ecology.
