Treadmill Competition

January 6, 2010

Faculty and staff members gathered in the Lifetime Fitness Center to start off the new year with a little bit of exercise, participating in the first edition of the Great Washington College Walk/Run Off. Sponsored by the offices of campus recreation, student affairs, human resources and dining services, the event was a mixture of fun and fitness (and a lot of heckling!). Teams of two competed in either the walk or run categories, attempting to cover as much distance as possible on a treadmill in 45 minutes. Prizes were given for the top three places in each division as well as for best team costume and best team name.
