Washington College awarded honorary degrees to former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger and noted educator Marcia Invernizzi at the annual George Washington's Birthday Convocation. The College also recognized alumni, staff, and prominent community members for their contributions.

Convocation Honorees | Distinguished Service Awards
Matt Mullin '97 received the Alumni Horizon Ribbon Award for his work as an environmentalist.
George Buckless '69 received the Alumni Service Award.
Mitchell Reiss presented the President's Medal to James Fauss, chair of the local Community Food Pantry.
Literacy expert Marcia Invernizzi '72 received the honorary degree, Doctor of Letters.
Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger received the honorary degree, Doctor of Laws. He called Washington College "one of the most remarkable colleges I have ever seen."
