Chestertown, MD, August 7, 2002 — K-12 teachers on the Eastern Shore of Maryland are invited to register for Fall 2002 graduate education courses to meet requirements for advanced professional certification. The courses will be held on a variety of dates and at various locations around the state, including Washington College. Courses are offered by Washington College, and credits can be applied toward Maryland teacher certification, re-certification and/or advancement on the salary scale.The following three-credit courses will be held at Washington College's Chestertown campus:
EDU 528 Disability Awareness, October 4-6 and October 25-27, 2002
EDU 531 Cooperative Discipline, November 8-10 and December 6-8, 2002

EDU 522 Encouraging Student Responsibility and (Self) Discipline
EDU 526 Styles of Teaching: Personality Type in the Classroom

EDU 529 Using Brain-Compatible Methods in the Classroom
